Hi-Rez Studio, the developer behind the popular MOBA Smite, has been teasing their new project Paladins: Champions of the Realm, which is a free-to-play objective-based team first-person shooter, slated to release in 2016.

Set in a colorful sci-fantasy world, Paladins features strategy combats with various unique champions. Two teams fight in the king of the hill-style to capture points and champion progression is employed in an interesting way by the deckbuilding card system, which augments champion's abilities in different ways. Besides, each champion has its own mount to explore the much bigger open world.
